Hello!! Happy Thanksgiving! Here in America, we obsess over this gluttonous holiday, and eat until our pants are too tight. We also focus on what makes us thankful, and who we share this holiday with often reflects our gratitude.
Today was a great day, and instead of focusing on the sadness that I feel right now because I do not have all of the things that I want, I am still grateful for what I DO have.
First, we went to get kisses from Daddy, before he went to work.
.
Then, my mother, my son, and I all went to my family party, and we rejoiced in what was good: the unity of our large, ever growing clan of fifty plus people.
My son was the youngest great grand child present, and he was adored by all. I felt so overwhelmed with happiness, as family gushed over how cute, how smart, how funny, and adorable he was. He truly was a busy little boy, barely taking time to eat anything!
His favorite person throughout the evening was his Great Grandpa Jim. He followed him around all night, clinging to his leg, sitting on his lap, and smiling big grins as they shared moments together.
We played, played, played, with all of the cousins. We walked, ran, crawled, scooted, and finally had time for a moment together to share a picture. He is so precious to me.
After the big family party, we took some food over to Grandpa Gordo, and Jr. finally ate some food (scrambled eggs, believe it or not!). It was calm, and quiet, so we got to relax, and enjoy some silence and the special company. It is such a different atmosphere there, and though Alex Jr. loves his big, crazy family, it was nice to unwind with some peacefulness.
