Middle of week 3....taking a break from conformity!

So this week,  I've been taking a break from p90x and I've been doing a few things differently.
1. Trampoline running.
At home, I have a small trampoline that is perfect for aerobic exercise. I put on a movie, strap on some ankle weights, grab my 5lb arm weights and start "running". You work up a sweat instantly. You can do so many things, not just running. I do switch foot lunge squats, calf lifts, pulse running, jumping jacks and high jumps. I use my arms to do tricep lifts, curls, back flys etc. It's great, because when you are tired, you just take the leg weights off and throw down the arm weights and then you can keep going! My longest session has been 35 minutes. Plus, if you watch a comedy, you not only get endorphins from lauging, but also from exercising! #winning!
2. Beach.
This week, I've made it to the beach twice. Yesterday, I went before my exam and I had the best workout climbing up a huge hill, then galloping down it. The view, the sweat, the climb, the run down...all such a great mood booster. I got a 94% on that exam :)
So, if you are feeling stuck in your routine, take a break, explore new options but whatever you do, don't give up! Keep your nutrition in check, keep track of your exercise and keep doing it!
Also, if you are interested in beach or trail workouts, I would definitely recommend vevobarefoot runners. No sand in my shoe after an hour at the beach! Woop!
