I am a nanny for a two year old boy, named Beckett, twice a week. Alexzander and I arrive at his house at 7:30a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday, and we play until about 3:30p.m. The day is pretty structured, and I feel that the boys benefit immensely from an organized day.
We start by eating breakfast, then we dance and have a have free play until 8:30a.m. After that, we start learning activites like colors, letters, numbers, art, music, and with each of these, we incorporate the season of the year. I am lucky that I found a mother who puts these activities together, so that both of our sons can benefit.
At 10a.m., we go outside. By this time, we are all a bit frazzled, with high tempers, and the fresh air blows the "stink" off of all of us. This past Thursday, we went on an hour long walk, down a long windy road, with beautiful homes and spectacular fall scenery. All of us were silent, as we breathed in the fresh aroma of fall, and enjoyed the sights of this beautiful world God created.
After our outside adventure, we come in, all refreshed, and ready to eat lunch. After lunch time, sleep is blanketing their eyes, and they fall fast asleep. They awake around 2p.m., then we either dance and play inside, or go out for a nice, cold bottle of milk.
The day is fun, and I can't complain one bit. The situation is beneficial for parties, and most importantly, it's fun!
I am truly blessed.
How do you feel blessed today?
