Will i feel better or worse after doing this sport??

Yesterday was the day of my first 5k. Granted, this was no official race, it had no entry fee, there were no registered numbers (although I did have a typed #40 given to me), I still felt that this was the beginning of my push into racing.

I will admit, I did not train well for this 5k so running it (add a stroller and 5 extra #s I put on over finals/grad week) was not looking like an option. My sister, Ashley and I put our game face on though and got out in the blistering Florida heat at 9am and fast walked our tushies all the way to the end in under 43 minutes, which kept us from last place. Despite feeling a bit hot, I did not feel worn down.

Now, after a day of rest, reenergized thoughts, and the accomplishment of on 5k down, I'm looking for my next one....the first one I will be running!

For all of you out there getting into running, believe me, its a choice and a choice you must make every day to do or not do. Step out of your comfort zone, and into your goals and dreams. If you can see it or dream it, you best believe you can achieve it, you must only reach reach reach until you get it. You might feel a little scared, for fears are what hold us back. Just try!
